    Bob has been a director and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and the Bank since their formation in 1989. He has also been the sole director and President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Valley Investment Corporation since its formation in 1995, and of Blue Valley Building Corp. since its formation in 1994.

    Prior to forming Blue Valley Ban Corp., Bob held various managerial positions with Boatmen’s Bank and Trust and Boatmen’s First National Bank of Kansas City. He has over 40 years of experience in a number of banking areas, including lending, investments, personnel, administration, trust, operations, new business development and mergers.

    Bob serves on the Board of Directors of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, Union Station Kansas City, Inc., Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, Kanza Valley Capital (formerly known as Kansas Venture Capital), Inc., UMKC Foundation, and The Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Board of Trustees of MRIGlobal. Bob also has extensive community relations experience with his involvement in civic, business, and philanthropic organizations in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

    Bruce became Executive Vice President – Chief Lending Officer on November 10, 2008. He is responsible for managing the commercial lending team as well as serving as a member of the Loan, Asset/Liability Management, Technology and Compliance committees. Bruce started his banking career as a bank examiner working for the Illinois Commissioner of Banks and Trust Companies in the Northern District of Chicago from 1982 to 1985.

    Over the years he has gained considerable experience working with Continental Bank, Toronto Dominion Bank, Merchants Bank (which became Boatmen’s First National Bank of Kansas City), NationsBank, Bank of America, US Bank and Valley View State Bank.

    Bruce has a B.S. in business economics from Southern Illinois University and an M.B.A. in finance from DePaul University’s Graduate School of Business.

    Sheila began her career with Bank of Blue Valley in 1999 working in the Wire Transfer area. In her current role as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Digital Strategies, she oversees the Marketing, eBusiness Solutions, and Call Center departments, as part of the Finance Administration and Operational Solutions Division. Sheila and her teams are focused on improving customer experience and enhancing digital offerings. Through collaboration across business lines, Sheila and her Marketing teammates develop marketing plans and strategies to promote the bank's products and services, enhance existing relationships, and facilitate sales efforts.

    Sheila serves on the Technology, Compliance, Internal Collaboration, and Strategic Planning Committees of the Bank. She is a member of the EPCOR Payment Committee, as well as Fiserv's Self Service Banking Advisory Council. Sheila is a graduate of Cloud County Community College and Ottawa University with a B.A. degree in Management.  In addition, she is an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) with over 20 years of experience in electronic payments.  Sheila, her husband, and their two sons live in Spring Hill.

    Bryce began working at Bank of Blue Valley in 2011 and works with local business owners on a daily basis. His main focus is solving problems of business owners and helping them achieve their goals through providing consultation and financing options that allow them to focus on their employees and customers. 

    Bryce graduated from Pittsburg State University with a B.S. in finance and a minor in economics and continues to support the Sigma Chi Fraternity, as well as cheer for his Pitt State Gorillas athletic teams along with the Royals and Chiefs. Outside of work, Bryce is a Board Member with Junior Achievement, teaches Junior Achievement programs to elementary students, participates in Teach Children to Save, coaches his son’s little league baseball teams, participates in various bank-sponsored activities, was a member of the 2015 Leadership Overland Park Chamber of Commerce class and is a founding member as well as Treasurer for Community Leaders Impacting Change in Kansas City, (CLICKC). He is married to Lori, who is a residential real estate agent with ReeceNichols while also keeping everyone in line at home as a wonderful wife and mother. They have two boys, Brady and Brendan that enjoy being outdoors and are active in a variety of sports.  Their family also includes 3 dogs (Mia, Gabby, and Gus) that love running around the house barking and taking naps in the sunshine.

    JR brings a varied skill set to the commercial real estate team at Bank of Blue Valley. Since 2009, JR has been working to liquidate the OREO (Other Real Estate Owned) properties the bank acquired from the housing market crash. His responsibilities include inspecting all of the houses under construction each month to track the completion percentage, reviewing and signing off on all appraisals that come through and assisting the commercial real estate loan officers in evaluating properties to possibly make new loans. His work has taken him to California, New York, Colorado and Nevada to rehab and sell the OREO properties.

    JR’s educational background is varied. JR graduated from Grandview High School, the Construction Technical School and the Bobbit Appraisal School. He also has his Johnson County Builder license with continuing education every year for the last 15 years, as well as RCRA Training for hazardous waste recovery. JR is also active on a volunteer basis, having been involved in the Bank of Blue Valley Charity Golf Classic and HBA Clay Shoot. He is also an HBA Associates Council Member and is on the worship singing team at Covenant Chapel. He is married to his wife of 30-plus years, Kim, and they have three sons, Evan, Chase and Taylor. The queen of their household is their dog, Daisy.

    Akash is the newest member of our Commercial Lending team - specializing in Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. He has been with Bank of Blue Valley since 2014 and worked as a Lending Assistant and Credit Analyst previously. Akash enjoys working with business owners and decision makers in small to mid-sized companies that are looking to establish a local banking relationship with a community bank. He is passionate about forming long-term partnerships with his clients and finding customized solutions to meet all of their banking needs.

    He lives in Overland Park with his wife and son and their golden retriever, Buddy. Akash graduated from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. In his free time, he likes to cheer on our local KC Chiefs and Royals!

    Brian’s role within the commercial lending department allows him to showcase how Bank of Blue Valley helps local businesses and how easy it can be. Brian acts as a proactive partner for businesses within our community, striving to make business banking a positive experience. He typically works with businesses that either already own assets or are looking at acquiring new assets for their business. He makes sure local businesses know changing banks can be easy, and works to prove it every day.

    Brian is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, having earned a B.S. degree in finance. He is also a graduate of the Greater KC Chamber’s Centurions Leadership Program and Leadership Olathe. Brian is highly involved outside of work. He was elected to serve on the Olathe Public Schools Board of Education in 2017, volunteers with the Olathe Chamber of Commerce, the Olathe Public Schools Foundation, the Community Advisory Committee of the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City, and coaching youth soccer & basketball . His wife, Heather, works for The Vecino Group as an affordable housing developer and is very active on housing policy and working with the homeless population. They have two kids that both attend Olathe Public Schools, as well as a beagle-mix named Thunder and a guinea pig named Jack as pets. In 2011, Brian and Heather were named KC Humanitarians of the Year by Harmony/NCCJ.

    With over 30 years of lending experience under his belt – everything from ag, home and consumer loans to commercial loans – Charlie brings a great deal of experience to the commercial lending team. Having started at Bank of Blue Valley in 2007, Charlie works to bring in new loans and customer relationships, specifically small to mid-size growing companies where a long-term relationship can be built. He also services an existing portfolio of loans and is always on the lookout for ways to enhance relationships with customers by offering any banking services that fit their needs.

    Outside of work, Charlie volunteers some of his time with Braden’s Hope for Childhood Cancer – Gala Advisory Board and the Blue Valley Recreation Commission’s Finance, Administration & Risk Management Committee. Charlie has an extensive education background, with a BBA in Finance from Washburn University. He is also a graduate of the MBA School of Lending and MBA School of Bank Management. Charlie is married to Danita, and they have two children, Scott and Sarah. Charlie’s sports allegiances are with the Chiefs, Royals, Sporting Kansas City and John Brown University, where Sarah plays soccer.

    Sandy started at Bank of Blue Valley in 2015 with 10 years of experience in Commercial Lending. She enjoys teaming up with business owners and decision makers to find financial solutions for them as well as being a trusted confidante to problem solve and consult with. She has a passion for her client’s businesses and she gets to live vicariously through them and their exciting endeavors!

    Sandy graduated from UMKC Bloch School of Business with a BBA in Finance. She and her husband, Don, reside in Grandview, MO with their 3 children and pets. She is very involved in her community as a Board of Director for the Grandview Chamber of Commerce, the Grandview Assistance Program, and the Grandview Education Foundation. When she isn’t busy as an employee, mother, or volunteer, Sandy enjoys running and has completed ten half marathons!

    Kevin has been with Bank of Blue Valley since 2005.  In his current role on our commercial lending team he helps provide KC Metro area companies with financing to enable them to grow and prosper. He works primarily with operating companies to finance working capital.

    Kevin attended Johnson County Community College and the University of Kansas where he earned degrees in Economics and Sociology. A Chiefs and KU basketball fan, Kevin tries to stay as active as possible, having completed a marathon in 2010, competing in triathlons, and completing the Pikes Peak Ascent. He also loves to travel to Colorado to hike and camp, as well as anywhere with a beach, especially Mexico. Kevin’s family consists of his wife, Jamie, a nurse practitioner, and their son, Lincoln, born in 2013.

    Kevin currently serves as a Community Advisory Committee member with REACH Healthcare Foundation.

    Bruce’s goal is to be accessible and responsive to prospects and clients, solve problems, and to get things done.  With over 40 years of banking experience with large regional banks and smaller community banks, he has a broad knowledge of numerous industries and has worked closely with a number of manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and a wide range of service companies to satisfy all of their financing needs. He has also participated in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions and projects. Bruce has handled commercial loan relationships as small as $10,000 and as large as $40,000,000. 

    Bruce is a native of Kansas City, having graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Kansas, and has developed a solid base of knowledge in the areas of business law, accounting, and financial analysis. His previous experiences help him to bring a great deal of creativity to the table. Bruce joined Bank of Blue Valley in 2007. He is passionate about serving customers as a commercial banking officer with a locally owned community bank.  Bruce keeps in regular touch with his customers and helps forge strong relationships that are of mutual benefit.

    Richard oversees the commercial construction/development lending department at Bank of Blue Valley. In his day-to-day work, Richard manages a portfolio of primarily residential home builders, assists with business development and project management, sits on the Internal Loan, Compliance, and CRA Committees,  in addition to participating in and volunteering at a variety of events sponsored by Bank of Blue Valley.

    Richard has recently completed a four-year term on the Home Builder’s Association Board of Directors, and was presented the 2017 Fred J. Geier Associate of the Year Award.  He remains an active participant of the Associates Council and numerous other HBA activities throughout the year.  A graduate of the University of Central Missouri with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, Richard enjoys being outdoors, waterfowl hunting and sport shooting activities.  He has been married to his wife, Carolyn for over 30 years and has one daughter, Katie.

    Brandon joined Bank of Blue Valley in 2000 and currently serves as Vice President of Commercial Lending. His primary focus is assisting business owners with working capital, business expansion, and/or real estate needs. His greatest satisfaction is forming a partnership with his clients to find customized solutions to meet all their banking needs.

    Brandon grew up in a small farming community in Southeast Kansas – Neodesha, which is most commonly known as “the place where Cobalt Boats are built.” He currently resides in Overland Park with his wife, Meggin and son Corbyn. They have two pets – Sophie and Skipper. When not banking, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family, which mostly includes attending Corbyn’s various sporting activities (HS/Summer Club baseball and HS football). Brandon and his family enjoy spending time at the beach, great food and rooting on their favorite sports teams.

    Cody started at Bank of Blue Valley in 2003 and brings great experience and talent to the commercial real estate team. In addition to providing financing to local home builders and developers in the Kansas City area, Cody also provides financing for businesses that are looking to construct or purchase commercial real estate. He views himself as not only a banker, but a business partner. You might also see Cody at the Home Builder's Association of Greater KC events. He serves on the Parade of Homes Committee and the Associates Council.

    Cody is married with two children, a daughter, Ella, and son, Cameron. They live in Spring Hill with their brown lab, Jaxon. He is a graduate of Olathe North High School and Kansas State University with a degree in economics. As you can imagine, Cody cheers on the K-State Wildcats any chance he gets, along with the Royals and Chiefs. In their freetime, he likes to take the family camping and he also enjoys fishing and waterfowl hunting.

    Bethany began her career with Bank of Blue Valley in 2001 and provides customers with a variety of beneficial services in her role in the cash management department. She works with Bank of Blue Valley business customers to help them streamline payment processes and maximize efficiencies to improve cash flow. Bethany’s knowledge of Bank of Blue Valley’s treasury management services, payment solutions and electronic banking systems allows her to tailor a solution to a customer’s specific cash management needs. 

    Bethany graduated from Pittsburg State University with B.A. degrees in psychology and French. Living in Overland Park, Bethany likes to volunteer with the United Way and Arts KC. She also loves live music, dining out, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Bethany is married with one son and has a dog named Ali.

    Acting as the Lenexa Market President, Lisa has been an employee at Bank of Blue Valley since 2002. Lisa works with business owners and decision makers in small and medium-sized companies that are looking to establish a local banking relationship with a community bank offering a proactive partnership. She strives to meet the needs of her clients through custom-structured loans, and enjoys meeting with clients in their office and offering a listening approach to problem solving. 

    She serves as Chairman on the American Lung Association of Kansas and Greater KC board.  She also serves as a board member of the County Economic Research Institute.

    Lisa attended Washburn University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City and earned her B.A. in economics. Living in Lenexa, she has been married to her husband, Thom, for over 30 years. They have two adult children that also live in the area and Rose, a dachshund grand dog. Lisa has a variety of hobbies including playing the guitar and piano, golfing and flying as a private pilot.
